The Reeves Firm is a full-service trial practice based in Atlanta, Ga. We have tried many cases to verdict in multiple courts. We have successfully argued motions and appeals in a variety of cases, securing outstanding results for our clients. While we are always prepared to take a case to trial, we also understand that a swift, amicable resolution is sometimes the best course of action. Either way, we recognize the difficulties faced by our clients in navigating the legal system. As a result, we provide a tailored approach to each case and put forth our best efforts to secure a fair outcome for our clients, both businesses and individuals alike.
Our principal, Jake Reeves, is a Georgia native and has called Atlanta home since 1999. Jake began practicing law in 2010 and has nearly 20 years of experience in insurance defense, including nearly 10 years as an award-winning claims specialist for two major insurance companies. Jake also frequently served as an arbitrator with Arbitration Forums, which involved settling complex disputes between major insurance carriers. Jake’s extensive experience in the insurance industry has provided deep, invaluable knowledge of the mechanics of insurers and the insurance industry. Jake knows how to handle complex cases and catastrophic losses.
After leaving the insurance industry, Jake attended Georgia State University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Jake also had the honor of studying commercial international arbitration at the prestigious Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, where he earned highest honors.
In addition to practicing law, Jake has played drums, bass, and guitar in several local bands throughout the years. These days you may catch him playing local festivals or parades. Jake, his wife Kimberly (also a lawyer), and their two dogs, Dashiell and Clara Bow, live in the historic Kirkwood neighborhood.
